ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS

The College gives great importance and also extends facilites to outstanding players who bring laurels to the institution.In the session 2004-05 our students participated in GNDU, Inter-College Tournaments in Yoga,Chess,Basket Ball,Ball Badminton and Judo. and won many prizes

The following Players added the colours to the college sports:

	In the Inter College Judo Competion held on 8th Oct 2004,Gagan deep won III position in under 78 Kg weight.Manisha won IIIrd position in under 44 Kg weight And Anu won IIIrd position in under 57 Kg Weight.
	In the Distt Judo competion held on 21st and 22nd Nov 04 our College won the Championship and GaganDeep was declared the best Judoka of Jalandhar Ditt.
	Manisha won the First Position in under 44 kg.(Senior) weight.
	Manisha won First Position under 44 kg.(Junior) weight.
	Nisha won First Position under 48 kg. weight.(Senior)
	Nisha won IIIrd Position under 44 kg. weight.(Junior)
	Anu won First Position under 63 kg. weight.(Junior)
	Nisha won IIIrd Position under 55 kg. weight.(Junior)
	Rajinder won IIIrd Position under 57 kg. weight.(Senior)
	Gagandeep won First Position under 78 kg. weight.(Senior)
	On 27th and 28th Nov 04,in open State Judo Championship Gagandeep won IIIrd Position in under 78 Kg (Senior) and Manisha won IIIrs position in under 44 Kg(Senior)won First Position under 48 kg. weight.(Senior)
	our Two players-Reema and Ranjit participated in National Yoga Competition held at Kohlapur from 26 Aug.04 to Ist Sept 04 . In Open State Divine Yoga Competion held on 17th Oct 04 ,our team won IIIrd Position.Reema won IIIrd position (individual).
	Our player Gagandeep Kaur attended Junior National Judo Coaching Camp for preparation of Junior Asia Judo championship from 26th July,04 to 14 Sept,04 at Kandivali,Mumbai.
	our Two players-Apanjeet and Rajwinder participated in National Ball Badminton Tournament held at Hussan(Karnataka) from 8Dec.04 to I3th Dec 04 .
	our players and Physical Education Students attended the Yoga and Aryuvedic Treatment Seminar organised by Bhartiya Yoga Peeth at Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Hall on 29th Nov,04

45 Cadets were enrolled this year.

	Our 15 particiapted in 15th Aug parade at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium,Jalandhar.
	Pre Thal Sena Camp held at Shahtalai in Sept 2004 was attende by cadets Tinu,Jiran and Anuradha.Anuradha was selected for for All Induia Thal Thal Sena Camp at New Delhi .
	During 30 Cadets visited Pingla Ghar at Jalandhar and Donated money,Fruits and Sweets ands Money.
	On Flag Day 7th Dec 2004,Our N.C.C cadet Rekha got Special prize from NCC commander officer
	On 26th Jan 05, State level Parade was held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.15 cadets participated in this Parade.
	Gagandeep was selected for Republic day parade at New Delhi.She also got special prize from Deputy chief Minister Mrs Rajinder Kaur Bhattal at Chandigarh

YOUTH CLUB AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Our College Youth Club is affiliated to the Directorate of Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab For the session 2003-2004 about 170 students were enrolled to the College Youth Club.

	A Talent Search Competition was held on 23.08.03 to give a chance to the budding artists to show their talent. Students participated in various items like Dances, Songs, Debate, Elocution, Rangoli, Mehandi, Quiz, Poster making etc.
	During this Session , our students participated in various inter college competitions and won laudable positions. Our team stood first and won the shield in the Bhajan/ Shabad Competition organised by B. D.Arya College, Jalandhar on 9.8.2003.
	Our students Ramneet got the First Prize and Sandeep got the third prize in a Quiz Programme organised by Bhasha Vibhag.
	On 7.9.2003 our group song team stood second in Patriotic Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad.
	Our Students participated in Zonal Youth Festival, GNDU held at University Regional Center, Ladhewali, Jalandhar from 28.10.2003 to 31.10.2003. A large number of students participated in various items and also won many positions. Our students won Third position in Group shabad and Group Song, Third Position in Gazal and Classical Dance, First Prize in Still Life, Second Prize in Collage and Third prize in Histrionics.
	Our student Lalita again got Second prize in Final Youth Festival held at GNDU Amritsar from 14.11.03 to 17.11.03.
	Out student Sarbjot got First position in Declamation Contest organized a Quiz Programme (Zonal Level) at Guru Nanak Bhai Lalo College, Phagwara.
	Our student Ramneet got the First Prize. She was also honored with a Cash Prize of Rs. 5000/- Bhasha Vibhag, Punjab organised a State Level Function at Arya Mahila College, Pathankot. Ramneet again got the First prize in Punjab. Sant Namdev Kshatriya (Jank) Society organised "On the spot Painting Competition" at Sant Namdev Bhawan, Jalandhar.
	Our student Sapna got First Prize in Portrait Competition. She got a Cash prize of Rs. 750/- and a memento. Guru Nanak College Sukhchaina Sahib organized an Inter College Dance Competition for Commerce and Business students on 15.11.03.
	Our student Illa got Second prize in Solo Dance. Our group dance secured first position and won Over-all Trophy.
	S. D. School Basti Nau organised Inter School Group song and Histrionics Competition. Our college team participated and got First Prize in Group Song Competition. Suruchi got Second Prize in Histrionics.
	An Inter College Painting Competition was held at K.M.V. College. Jyotsna got Second prize in Still Life. Our student Saminder got third prize in Dry Flower Arrangement and Deepti got second prize in Rangoli in an Inter College Competition.
	Our student Jasmeet got second prize in Histrionics and Third prize in extempore in a programme "Synergy 2004" organised by Lyallpur Khalsa College Declamation Contest. Our student Sarbjot got first prize and the team consisting of Rajvir and Sarbjot won the second prize and also got a trophy.
	Our college team got the third prize in Group Dance in an Inter-College Commerce Festival organised in KMV College, Jalandhar.
